In Chinese Medicine, there are different patterns that manifest when one has a cold. Technically, they are different stages of the pathology. Acupuncture and herbs can help relieve all the stages of a cold or flu. It has been done for thousands of years.

So what you can do is very easy if you feel like you are coming down with a cold. If you start getting shivers make a tea infusion of ginger, honey, lemon and a little cinnamon and have that for a couple of days.

If it persists get some herbs from your acupuncturist or herbalist. It will turn to heat you will need herbs that are more cooling in nature.

Stay healthy
