About Rhiannon:
The breathe is the guiding force to Rhiannon's practice and teaching style. With a BA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Mills College in Oakland, California, Rhiannon has always had a deep understanding and appreciation for the body. While living in the Bay Area of Northern California Rhiannon discovered the healing powers that yoga has on the mind, body and spirit. Seeing the transformation yoga had on her body and the ability yoga has to clear the mind of negativity, Rhiannon knew that she had found her path, to pass yoga on to others so that they could be filled with the strength and peace she feels everyday as a result of yoga.
After trying many styles of yoga she came across Ashtanga Vinyasa, and found a true connection to the practice. A perfect combination of physical postures and flow, Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga is centered around the breathe and the guiding force the breathe can have in and outside of the yoga practice.
Using a combination of postures from the traditional Ashtanga many series, Rhiannon's class offers the opportunity to challenge the mind to quiet down and be present in moment, support the body through asanas, (postures), and to turn your practice into a constant ebb and flow of grace.
All are welcome, for Rhiannon's class offers a great starting point for beginners and presents numerous variations on each posture for the more advanced Yogi to have consistant growth in their practice.
